So, the butcher totally changed his mind about cooking the turkey. We ended up getting a 4.5 kg and a jumpo turkey thigh as a top up since the guest list is now up to 14!!!!!!!
I’ve not left the kitchen since 14h00 when I finished lunch and started cooking. My tiny little over and I have been working NON-STOP! Done and looking gorgeous are:
– 2 cranberry walnut blue cheese tarts for the starter
– jumpo turkey leg
-2 batches of corn bread stuffing (with / sans oysters!)
– 1 pecan pie
I’ll be getting up at 8 am — a truly obscene hour for a Sunday morning — to get the turkey roasting and to head to the market for green beans. A bit of garlic mash potato and then guests at 13h. Let me shut off this computer now and get to bed.
